Easter Basket Ideas for Tweens
Curating an Easter basket gets a bit tricky once your kids hit the tween stage. They think they’re too old for bubbles and sidewalk chalk, but they still love the fun of waking up to a basket on Easter morning.
Over the past couple of years I’ve learned that the key to a good tween Easter basket is a mix of cozy little items, special treats, and a few things that make them feel a little more grown-up.
Here are some of my favorite ideas that my tween girl actually gets excited about!
Cozy & Wearable Basket Gifts
Clothing might not seem like an exciting basket stuffer, but my tween loves comfortable basics she can wear every day. Once she finds something she loves, she will want it in every color!
One thing we recently tried in our house is the Bleuet organic bra, which is designed specifically for tweens and teens with soft, tag-free fabric. My daughter loved how comfortable it felt right away, and I actually tried the adult size myself so I could see what the fabric was like. It’s super-soft and seamless, which makes it perfect under everyday T-shirts and school clothes. There’s a wide array of colors and styles, and some are even reversible! WE’ve been wearing ours on rotation and need to grab a few more.

Other cozy ideas that work well in a basket include:
• fuzzy socks
• cute scrunchies
• lightweight pajama shorts
• oversized graphic tees
Self-Care & Fun Beauty Items
Many tweens are starting to explore skincare and personal care, and Easter baskets are a fun way to introduce a few small things.
Ideas that usually go over well:
• lip balm sets
• face masks
• nail polish, nail art pens, or press-on nails
• fun hair clips or accessories
• mini lotions or body sprays
These feel a little grown-up & fun, without being too mature.
Candy They Actually Want
At this age, the candy matters. Instead of filling the basket with only jelly beans, try mixing in a few favorites like:
• Reese’s Eggs (non-negotiable in our house)
• Sour gummy candy like this assortment
• Nerds Gummy Clusters
• Other festive finds like these Twix eggs
You can also tuck candy into reusable eggs if you’re doing an Easter egg hunt.
Creative & Crafty Basket Fillers
If your tween likes to make things, small craft kits are perfect basket additions.
Some ideas:
• bracelet-making kits
• paint-by-number sets or gemstone art
• sketchbooks or markers
• small Lego sets (we love the flower sets)
• embroidery starter kits
These give them something to do over the long holiday weekend.
Fun Extras
A few final ideas that make our baskets feel special:
• a new book (my tween is into classics with “aesthetic” covers)
• a deck of cards (themed is fun!)
• a movie night treat
• a cute water bottle
• a journal or notebook
These are small but thoughtful additions that tweens typically love.
While it does me a little sad to see my little girls growing up so fast, it’s so fun to see the beautiful people they’re becoming, and adapt our traditions to honor the things they love to do. I hope this list helps you curate a basket your tween will love, too!
